Everything That Ever Happened -
site specific installation, yellow paper, yellow office post-its, private residence, 2015
Everything That Ever Happened is a site specific installation in the artist’s home where she grew up, after leaving and the building being sold and awaiting demolition, she attempted to reference everything that ever happened, trying to recollect every single memory, action, dream, thought, feeling that took place within the space writing it down, placing it where it allegedly took place. Without speaking to others who shared the apartment with her throughout her time there, creating a one sided, ultimately incomplete recollection. By writing a single word to signify each memory, there is a purposeful reduction, where meaning could be lost, amplified, dramatised or made casual. The word death could be of the rat caught in a trap, it could also be a murder.
